Let me introduce to you Caroline, the Director and creator of Earth Palette Studio in our very own backyard of Manly West.
We sat down together to discuss her journey and what it means to use natural ingredients in her day-to-day routine.
Why did you start Earth Palette Studio, tell us a little about your story and journey?
Earth Palette Studio has been an evolution of my career in the hair and beauty industry for the last 22 years. Having worked at inner city boutique salons in Brisbane, London and Glasgow for 12 years I craved change, after the birth of my first daughter Layla, Earth Palette Studio was also born - a space for clients to have one on one appointments in a relaxed, child friendly studio.
Tell us about your daily skincare routine, do you have a daily/weekly routine when it comes to caring for your skin?
I am so passionate about skin care!
So much so I stock Eco by Sonya skin care, 100% certified organic, natural, vegan skincare. Australian made and owned! Of course I use the full range and I do it all. Cleanse, tone, exfoliate, mask, moisturise, and of course use an SPF daily. I avoid a lot of time in the sun, but I do fake it, (fake tan that is).
I have a nice ‘summer glow’ all year round!
Why is it important to opt for more natural skin and hair care ingredients?
Everything is absorbed through our skin. We need to choose natural, cruelty free products that really work. Natural, certified organic skin and hair care doesn’t mean you need to compromise on quality.
What is self-love to you and how do you practice this in your life?
Self love has been a tricky one for me, I have only recently learned to not feel ‘guilty’ about it but it’s so important we take quality time for ourselves regularly. I have created a range of Earth Palette products that promote this exact practice. Luxury bath and foot soaks to encourage a holistic approach to wellness and ‘self love’. You’ll often find me updating my website with my feet soaking in a bucket of ‘balance’ soak with a candle burning.
Any advice to us on how to prep our skin for the hot Summer days ahead of us?
Hydrate hydrate hydrate - oh and a quality SPF! But seriously.
If you invest in a comprehensive skin care routine that includes a sunscreen, you’re ahead of the game.
And what's your secret to the best mermaid hair waves? I am sure I am not the only one who would like to know this trick.
